Darren Smith has a new gig and he didn’t have to leave San Diego to find it. The former mid day host at The Mighty 1090 will now be heard in mid days on former crosstown rival XTRA 1360.
The move unseats Jon Schaeffer and Nick Hardwick, who hosted their final mid day show on Monday. Schaeffer will be moving to afternoons to join Steve Hartman and Rich Ohrnberger on the Loose Cannons. Hardwick will shift to being the station’s NFL Insider. His “Football Hour” will air on Monday and Friday mornings at 8 a.m. during Costa and Richards show.
Marty Caswell is also coming to XTRA 1360. She has been a reporter and producer with The Darren Smith Show since 2007.
The station’s new weekday lineup looks like this:
6 – 9 a.m. – Costa and Richards
9 a.m. – 12 Noon – The Herd with Colin Cowherd
12 Noon – 3 p.m. – The Darren Smith Show
3 – 6 p.m. – The Loose Cannons
6 – 7 p.m. – Ernie Martinez
