Radio.com issued a press release today saying that starting October 1, Mike Francesa’s digital content will be exclusive property of their site.
Francesa tweeted that the move is the result of a deal which saw Radio.com purchase the Mike’s On app. As a result, his live show, podcasts, and videos are moving exclusively to Radio.com.
“The ability to tap into Mike’s immediate, live reactions to the biggest moments in sports, combined with the vast library of audio and video content this deal brings to the platform, further cement RADIO.COM as one of the leading digital audio platforms in the U.S. for creators, audiences, and advertisers alike,” J.D. Crowley, the chief digital officer of Radio.com’s parent company Entercom, said in a press release.
As for WFAN, Francesa will remain in afternoon drive on the radio station. The deal with Radio.com is only for content that used to be exclusive to the Mike’s On app.
