Ryan Clark To Fill In For Tom Jackson On NFL Primetime

We’re just three weeks into the relaunched NFL Primetime on ESPN+ and there is already a change, albeit short-term. Tom Jackson has suffered an Achilles injury and is taking week 5 off.

Chris Berman will instead be joined by Ryan Clark on the streaming show this week. Clark spent 13 seasons in the NFL with four different teams. He won Super Bowl XLIII as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2008 season. He has been on the ESPN payroll as an NFL analyst since 2015.

The most common praise the rebooted NFL Primetime has received since making its ESPN+ debut last month is how remarkably similar it is to the original, including the chemistry between Boomer and TJ. Clark certainly has some big shoes to fill and it will be interesting to see how much the producers adapt the show to him this week.
