ESPN Following NBA Teams To Asia

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets will play twice this week in China and ESPN will be there. Starting Tuesday, Rachel Nichols and Richard Jefferson will be in country to host segments of The Jump from the teams’ practice facilities and from NBA Cares events.

NBA players, personnel, and legends will join Nichols and Jefferson. The segments will air on SportsCenter and on ESPN’s digital platforms. Dave McMenamin will also be in the country providing reports from games and practices.

As for game coverage, Mark Kestecher will be in China to call the Lakers and Nets meeting on Saturday, October 12. The network has not yet decided who will serve as his partner on the broadcast.

China isn’t the only stop on the NBA’s international tour. The Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers will play a preseason game in India. Marcus Spears will be embedded with the Kings for The Undefeated. He will work on a story about Kings owner Vivek Ranadive’s return to his home country and D’Aaron Fox’s experience in Asia.
