Bart Scott Officially Joins ESPN 98.7 On January 2

Former Jets linebacker Bart Scott will start 2020 as a member of the ESPN family. Scott’s new radio show will launch on January 2. He will make his TV debut on Get Up! shortly after that.

The news broke last month that Scott would be leaving WFAN to head across town. He will be paired with Alan Hahn for a new early afternoon show. Scott former WFAN co-host Chris Carlin will replace Hahn as the station’s night host.

It will be an interesting first month for Scott and Hahn. Their show will debut on January 2 and run for the remainder of that week and the entirety of the following week. Then the duo gets a week off while ESPN 98.7 carries the final week of Stephen A. Smith’s national radio show. Scott and Hahn will return to the lineup on the 20th.

Andrew Marchand of The New York Post reports that WFAN and its parent company Entercom have tried to delay Scott’s start at his new station. So far efforts have been unsuccessful.
