Dave Portnoy announced the first acquisition of 2020 for Barstool Sports, adding Million Dollaz Worth of Game to their network of podcasts.
The weekly podcast is hosted by actor/rapper Gillie Da Kid and social media influencer/‘disruptor’ Wallo267. The two also happen to be first cousins.
In his blog post announcing the new partnership, Portnoy acknowledged he never heard of the podcast until recently, but “turns out they are huge in Philly and have millions of followers on social.”
Both hosts combine for more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram alone. Their podcast describes itself as a blend of topics including music, real life issues, personal experiences, honest advice and comedy.
“Now my first bold prediction of 2020 is that these guys will be as big as PMT and Call Her Daddy,” Barstool’s founder said with high praise for their new podcast. “I think their crowd will love Barstool and Barstool will love them. They fit us perfectly. Raw and real.”
“I guarantee if you give them a chance they’ll hook you,” Portnoy added.
