Josina Anderson’s contract expires this summer. According to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, sources within the company wouldn’t be surprised if she used it as an opportunity to leave ESPN.
Anderson’s star has been on the rise at ESPN for quite some time going from team reporter to one of the hosts of the network’s NFL Live. It is also hard to imagine ESPN is eager for her to leave. She just turned in an excellent hour-long interview with troubled wideout Antonio Brown during ESPN’s Super Bowl pre-game coverage.
Marchand notes in his report that “nothing is done yet,” so it is still possible Anderson and Bristol come to terms on a deal. No clues were offered to potential future employers if Anderson does decide to move on.
