After 16 months in Cleveland covering the Cavaliers, Indians and NFL full-time for Entercom’s 92.3 The Fan, James Rapien announced he’s on to Cincinnati.
Rapien will soon return to his hometown where he previously worked for iHeartMedia’s ESPN 1530 and 700 WLW. He’s also returning to cover the Bengals, this time for Sports Illustrated. Rapien previously hosted Locked On Bengals as part of the Locked On Podcast Network and Cincy 360 with Mo Egger for ESPN 1530. The sports host and reporter did not announce a return to ESPN 1530, but Egger, the station’s afternoon host tweeted “you’re going to hear James often.”
“I’m grateful for all of the talented people I worked with on a regular basis. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have gotten the opportunity to move forward and grow my career,” Rapien wrote on Twitter, also thanking all of the fans that followed his work.
Rapien stated this Friday, April 5 will be his final day at The Fan.
