Dan Fouts is out at CBS. The former Chargers QB was the analyst on the network’s number two NFL broadcast. CBS reportedly already has found his replacement.
According to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, Charles Davis is leaving FOX to join Ian Eagle in the CBS booth. That leaves an opening alongside Kevin Burkhardt on FOX’s number two NFL team.
At the end of the season, FOX was reportedly interested in replacing Davis with former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen. That allowed Charles Davis to explore free agency. Olsen chose to continue his playing career though, signing with the Seattle Seahawks.
Fouts’s CBS contract expired at the end of the season. He is 69 years old. Marchand speculates that if he wants to keep his broadcasting career alive, it may mean having to call college games instead of the NFL.
