Christian Arcand announced on Monday that he only had one night left on the Adam Jones Show on 98.5 the Sports Hub. He and listeners were under the impression that Jones would be a solo act starting on Wednesday.
“As you’re probably aware, things are not great in the economy right now,” Arcand said as he broke the news to listeners. “I got a pretty tough call a couple of weeks ago. I have known about this for a little bit. I will not be re-upped. My contract will not be continued here with the Sports Hub.”
There’s a significant plot twist now. Arcand is not out after all. In fact, he said in Tuesday’s show that Beasley had decided to renew his contract after all.
Listeners took to social media joking that Arcand’s initial announcement was a ploy to get more Twitter followers. There was also significant joy to hear he was not going anywhere.
