WDAE’s morning show isn’t going anywhere. iHeartMedia Tampa has signed Ronnie “Night Train” Lane and Tom Krasniqi to a contract extension.
“I’m excited to continue my relationship with iHeartMedia Tampa Bay with the Ronnie & Tkras Show on WDAE,” Lane said in a press release. “I’ve been with the station since 2012 and am looking forward to serving our great community of sports fans for several more years to come.”
Lane has been a fixture in Tampa’s sports radio scene for decades. He previously worked Sports Radio 1010 WQYK, ESPN 1040 WHBO, and the Buccaneers Radio Network. He also spent time at XM covering Major League Baseball.
Krasniqi has worked at many of the same places. He spent time at 1010 AM and he also eventually went on to ESPN 1040 after relocating from New York to Florida. He and Lane have worked together at WDAE since 2012, initially in mid days.
“I’m extremely excited and grateful to continue my career at iHeartMedia Tampa Bay,” Krasniqi said. “It’s been a great eight years at WDAE so far, with many more memorable years to come. I feel truly blessed.”
