Jim Villanucci joined the station in October of 2018. He replaced Bob Brown upon his retirement. It represented a return to the market for Villanucci, who spent 14 years in Albuquerque, hosting afternoon drive on Cumulus’s news/talk station KKOB until 2013. Hauser joined the station the following February after stops in Minnesota and multiple markets in Florida.

In announcing the exits of Villanucci and Hauser, 101.7 the Team also announced it was upping its commitment to play-by-play. The station is extending programming from play-by-play partners New Mexico FC of the USL and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The station will also carry the NBA Playoffs courtesy of ESPN Radio and add coverage of the New York Yankees.
