Dan Patrick Unveils Plans For Podcast Network With iHeartMedia

Dan Patrick signed a new deal with Premier Networks in March that expanded the broadcast legend’s reach. One aspect of that deal, which was unveiled on Wednesday, is a podcast network featuring shows covering a variety of topics.

The deal will see Patrick and Premier contribute their resources to promoting a number of shows across iHeartMedia’s podcast platform. Patrick said in a press release that he will devote time on his syndicated radio show to promoting podcasts with stories to tell.

“Who doesn’t love a great story,” Patrick said. “I love that I can introduce great storytellers through my partnership with iHeartRadio.”

The first three shows on the network will tell a wide variety of stories. The Battle For L.A. tells the story of professional basketball in Los Angeles, ranging from the arrival of each of the city’s two NBA franchises to their influence on Southern California culture. The series is currently being adapted for TV and film as well.

Literary agent Alan Nevins and celebrity chef and columnist Joey Santos are also joining the network. Their show Two Guys From Hollywood, features the two friends talking about their childhoods in Hollywood and reviews of books, movies, drinking, food, and other pop culture.
