A left-wing radio host elicited strong reactions from social media followers when he Tweeted that the President would “manufacture a 9/11 type of attack before the election.”
Chip Franklin hosts a daily show San Francisco’s KGO 810. He sent the Tweet out on the 19th anniversary of one of the deadliest terror attacks on domestic soil.
“This is disturbing,” one Twitter user responded. “How can people equate this awful day in American history to this.”
Franklin also Tweeted about Osama Bin Laden’s niece backing Donald Trump. “Is 9/11 a good day to remind everyone that Osama bin Laden’s niece endorsed Trump?”
Not everyone shared the same disdain for Franklin’s Tweet.
“No but what my concern is that when he loses on November 3rd – what’s going to happen between November and January this man knows too much and he’s too close to too many foreign leaders that’s scary!”
Franklin has hosted talk shows for nearly three decades. Prior to his show in the Bay Area, Franklin hosted shows on KOGO in San Diego, California; WBAL AM 1090 in Baltimore, Maryland; and at WMAL in Washington DC.
