Curry’s Unanimous Media will partner with Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and TV legend and original creator of Good Times Norman Lear to produce the show. Carl Jones, who created The Boondocks and Black Dynamite for Adult Swim, is the creative mind behind the reboot and will run the production day-to-day.

“We are so excited about this project! Unanimous is all about authentic partnerships and this team felt genuine from the beginning,” Steph and his Unanimous Media partner Erick Peyton told The Hollywood Reporter. “Good Times strives to remind us that with the love of our family we can overcome any obstacle. We think, now more than ever, the world needs to see a show with hope and positivity.”

Good Times may be Unanimous Media’s first project with Netflix, but it won’t be the first thing Curry and crew have brought to TV. The company is behind ABC’s mini-golf/obstical course hybrid Holey Moley. It has also brought documentaries and faith-centered films to the big screen.
