Religion of Sports has struck a deal with Public Radio Exchange. The company, owned by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, and Gotham Chopra, will produce podcasts that PRX will then distribute according to Deadline
PRX is a major player in the podcasting space. The non-profit media group provides popular programming for NPR and is the creative force behind podcasts like This American Life, Ted Talks Daily, and Welcome to Nightvale amongst others.
Religion of Sports has already found success in the video space. The company has produced documentaries for ESPN, Facebook, Showtime, and AppleTV+.
“Our video projects have captured the attention and imagination of hundreds of millions of people, and we are so excited to bring the same vision, intensity, and mission to audio,” Chopra said in a press release. “There is no better partner to do that with than PRX. We couldn’t be more excited for you to hear what we have in store.”
The company already has two original podcasts available on its website. Specifics regarding future projects in conjunction with PRX were not available.
