NFL Red Zone fans were shocked to learn Andrew Siciliano, who’s presence has become a reliable part of game days, would not be on the channel this weekend. He posted a Tweet on Sunday saying that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and had to sit out.
“I’m gonna miss the show for the first time ever. Episode 261,” he said in his video. “Because after testing negative twice during the week, I tested positive this morning. We retested and it came back negative, but out of the super-abundance of caution, and to be respectful of my great teammates, I’m sitting this one out.”
What long term impact this has on Siciliano and NFL Red Zone remains to be seen. He tweeted on Monday that he would not miss his NFL Network show, but he would broadcast from home rather than from the network’s Los Angeles studio.
