2020 Is Least Watched World Series In History

Just like every other sport in 2020, Major League Baseball took a hit in the ratings. As was expected, the 2020 World Series is officially the lowest rated on record.

According to the AP, Game Six was the most watched of the entire series. It peaked with 12.6 million viewers. The single game high in 2020 was still 100,000 viewers than the average audience for every game of the 2012 World Series, which was the previous low.

The 2020 World Series averaged 9.79 million viewers. That is well off 2012’s pace. The low point of the entire Series was Game 3, which attracted just over 8 million fans.

Prior to 2020, the least watched World Series game came during the 2008 series between the Phillies and Rays. It had just 9.8 million people watching. The 2020 World Series fell short of that mark four times.

  1. Kneeling and bowing to the leftist mob will always translate into low ratings. I didn’t watch one pitch for the first time in my 53 years.
