CNN will be making changes to its contributor lineup as the network will not be renewing the contract of Joan Walsh.
Walsh confirmed the news on Twitter and added that she’d be around heading into 2021 in some form but will be taking time off for the rest of the month to spend with family.
“I’m grateful to CNN for the opportunity,” Walsh tweeted. “Nobody is promised a decade of paid TV commentary. Arguably, nobody deserves it! I am certainly willing to contribute to my friends’ shows on MSNBC and on CNN too when I’m right for the topic.”
CNN has yet to respond to the news of deciding not to renew Walsh’s contract, who coincidently, went through this same situation three years.
After 12 years at MSNBC, Walsh didn’t have her contract renewed. She then made her way to CNN, where she has spent the last three years until the network decided to let her go.
