The New York Post has tapped the deputy editor-in-chief of The Sun to oversee its two top editors. Keith Poole joined The Sun in 2016 and quickly guided the paper to become the UK’s largest digital-news brand.
Poole worked at the Daily Mail prior to his stint with The Sun. He also served as managing editor of the MailOnline in New York.
“I’ve always admired the bold and brash journalism of the New York Post, and to now be a part of this legendary organization is a dream come true for a journalist like me,” Poole said in a statement.
The Post’s current editor-in-chief Col Allan will retire in early March. He has been a senior advisor since 2019.
Poole will oversee the Post’s two top editors, Stephen Lynch, editor-in-chief of the print edition, and Michelle Gotthelf, editor-in-chief of digital.
His tenure begins in March.
