Entercom is bringing the entire lineup of Locked On podcasts to Radio.com. The two sides announced a deal today that will see Locked On move its podcasts onto Entercom’s platform and also begin co-producing new shows using Entercom sports talk hosts and Locked On team experts.
“Partnering with Entercom and their industry-leading sports radio lineup is a monumental step in the evolution of our network,” David Locke, President and Founder of the Locked On Podcast Network said in a press release. “Integrating Locked On’s local experts with the powerful sports personalities of Entercom will lead to amazing content across the network and for our new daily national sports podcast. In addition, co-developing numerous shows with RADIO.COM and being supported by their massive regional and local sales staffs to monetize our popular local podcasts on their platform make this an incredible partnership for Locked On. In the simplest terms, we are fired up to partner with Entercom.”
Their first partnership is called Locked On Today. The show will be hosted by Peter Bukowski of the Locked On Packers podcast. The show description Entercom provided makes it sound like it will be somewhere between SportsCenter and ESPN Daily.
This is the second major move for Locke’s company in the span of just a few weeks. In late January, it was announced that controlling interest in the company had been sold to TEGNA. That deal also included the announcement that TEGNA TV personalities would be teaming with Locked On creators to introduce new shows. Clearly the Locked On roster of content is growing.
“We’re dedicated to delivering cutting edge sports content to our audience – whichever their favorite team may be – and look forward to partnering with the great team at Locked On,” Entercom’s Chief Digital Officer JD Crowley added.
