Jacksonville radio personality Mark Kaye is leaving The Big Ape Morning Mess on 95.1 WAPE to focus on his talk program at 104.5 WOVK. Kaye will do his final show on the music station Friday.
Kaye started hosting a talk show on WOVK nearly four years ago. The show expanded to two hours in 2019 and is currently heard from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
“Mark is one of the most creative and ambitious people I know and his continuous evolution as a media personality is truly impressive,” said CMG VP audience & content Tim Clarke. “I truly believe that the ‘Mark Kaye Show’ represents the future of the spoken word format – entertaining and informative with an aesthetic that resonates and appeals to all generations.”
Kaye’s co-host on WAPE, Meghan Lane, will continue to do the show even after Kaye departs. The company said a search for his replacement will begin immediately.
