Buck Reising Reportedly Negotiating With 104.5 the Zone

Nashville’s top-rated sports talk station seems to have zeroed in on a replacement for the mid day show it lost last month. According to The Tennessean, Buck Reising of A to Z Sports is in negotiations with Cumulus to join the station.

Reising is at the center of a lot of on-demand content centered on Nashville sports. In addition to serving as a reporter for A to Z, he also hosts the 615 Sessions podcast. He also previously worked for crosstown rival 102.5 the Game.

The Tennessean did not mention Nick Kayal, who has been filling the mid day slot for the station since Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow and Paul Kuharsky announced their exit.

Paul Mason, the Zone’s program director, issued a statement to the paper via email saying that there had been tremendous interest in the opening from candidates across the country.

Not many details are known about what a new show may sound or look like. The Tennessean reports that it will be a two-hour show each weekday. More details could be revealed next week.
