The lingering drama over a tense exchange on CBS’ The Talk continued into Wednesday as the network extended the show’s hiatus while co-host Sharon Osbourne accused the network of blindsiding her with a question from her co-hosts.
On Tuesday, Sharon Osbourne appeared on Entertainment Tonight and called her fight with Sheryl Underwood “the biggest set up ever” while explaining how show producers caught her off guard under the guise of asking her to defend her position on Piers Morgan.
Osbourne told host Kevin Frasier that she arrived late to the studio last week and bumped into one of the show runners. She explained that the woman asked her if “she wanted to clear up the Piers thing again?” Osbourne told the woman that she would if they wanted her to.
Osbourne was told some of her co-hosts disagreed with her stance on Morgan. She said the show’s producers supplied questions to Underwood and Elaine Welteroth but not her. Osbourne said that she was not prepared for the line of questioning that she was confronted with.
“I think that CBS was so horrified with Piers for the things he was saying. Because remember, Harry and Meghan– it’s a CBS interview,” she said. “I had sided with Piers, so, it’s the cancel culture isn’t it? ‘Throw her under the bus.”
