Peacock Reveals Olympic Coverage Plan

The Summer Olympics in Tokyo are fast approaching, and NBC Sports is putting together the final touches for their coverage in a few months. 

As a result, Peacock and NBC Olympics have announced in a press release that they’ll have four live studio shows for the streaming service. The purpose of these daily shows is to help fans catch up and keep up on the must-see moments of the Summer Games.

“Peacock is thrilled to stream the most anticipated Olympics in history,” Jen Brown, SVP of Topical Programming and Development for Peacock, said. “Our shows on the Tokyo NOW channel will give audiences the latest and greatest from the Games, including live competition each morning and quality coverage every night, all for free.”

Peacock’s coverage kicks off the day with “Tokyo LIVE,” covering live competition, from 6-11 a.m. ET. “Tokyo Gold,” which will review the competition day from 11 a.m. – noon p.m. ET. 

Meanwhile, “On Her Turf at the Olympics,” a program focused on female athletes, from 7-7:30 p.m. ET, and finally, “Tokyo Tonight” will be the primetime show coming with the highlights from 7:30 p.m. – midnight ET.

“We are excited to have the Olympics featured on Peacock,” Rebecca Chatman, Vice President and Coordinating Producer, NBC Olympics, said. “From live coverage to vibrant new content, these shows complement our already extensive linear coverage and will stand out on this growing platform.”
