Clay Travis: People Waiting For CDC Guidance Are Pathetic

As more and more Americans receive their vaccinations, the CDC eased its Covid guidelines for mask-wearing, stating that fully vaccinated people don’t need face coverings outside except if they’re in a large crowd.

Fox Sports Radio host and Outkick founder Clay Travis states that those who have continued to wear their mask outside waiting for an announcement from the CDC, pathetic sheep.

“I gotta tell you something,” Travis said. “If you have been not going outdoors, or you have been going outdoors wearing masks, and you’ve been waiting for the CDC to give you the OK to take your masks off, you are such a sheep; you disgust me. You are pathetic.”

Travis is someone that’s pushed back on the coverage of COVID over the last year, stating young and healthy individuals should be living ordinary lives rather than relying on the CDC and living in fear. Outkick.com has become a hub of links to news about COVID-19’s threat being overblown and masks being mostly theater in the past year. He does add that those with underlying conditions should get vaccinated.

“You know what the odds are of getting COVID if you’re under the age of 50? One in 50,000,” Clay Travis. “Putting that into context, that means if a stadium which seats 50,000 people were 100% full of people with COVID, everybody in the stadium had it, one of those people, if they were under the age of 50, would die. That’s insane.”

Plenty of Americans are beginning the transition as they return to their ordinary lives. It will probably take years for health experts to determine the long-term effects of COVID for those who have overcome the virus.
