A broadcasting company in Springfield, Illinois is making moves to broaden the signal of its news network.
Capitol Radio Group’s WTAX which currently broadcasts on 93.5 FM and 1240 AM will move to 93.9 FM, according to The State Journal Register.

93.9 FM which currently broadcasts a music format will switch to all news. The station’s general manager said the move will allow WTAX to reach a larger audience.”We’re promoting it as getting a new coat of paint,” said Chris Bullock.
The current hosts in place at Cool 93.9 FM will continue to do their shows on the new Rewind 93.5.
WTAX News Radio is not expected to make any personnel changes after the switch.

The changes will take effect on June 7.
