Barstool Sports’ personality Rico Bosco has allegedly decided that his time at the media company has come to an end.
The news that Rico has decided to step down from his role as one of the premier sports gambling personalities at Barstool Sports seemed to be confirmed in a tweet from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy on Monday.
Barstool Sports personality Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz also tweeted about the news that Rico had quit Barstool Sports.
In the meantime, it should be noted that Bosco’s Twitter page still identifies him as a part of the Barstool team. There is also no personal message confirming an exit. While things have been hostile publicly lately between Bosco and his Barstool bosses and colleagues, it’s still too early to say for sure what his standing is with the company.
If Rico really is leaving Barstool Sports, it will end one of the more memorable tenures at the company in recent memory that included trying to negotiate a new contract live on air just last week.
