BetQL Network Enters Buffalo on The Bet 1520

ESPN Radio is gone from the AM dial in Western New York. The network has been dropped from 1520 AM. It has been replaced with the BetQL Network.

The AM station is just the latest owned by Audacy to put the company’s gambling-centric sports network on the air. Earlier this summer, the company put BetQL programming on 7 other stations across the country.

The station has been rebranded as The Bet 1520 AM. It will carry the BetQL lineup with CBS Sports Radio’s The Jim Rome Show from noon until 3 pm Eastern.

Currently, New Yorkers can only place sports bets in person. There are four casinos Upstate with sportsbooks. Buffalonians may find it easier to cross the border into Canada to make their wagers. A bill to legalize mobile betting has been passed. The state is reviewing license applications for companies that want to operate in the state.
