This year, “The View” saw the departure of Meghan McCain in the summer, and the program doesn’t seem to want anymore turnover, which is why TheWrap reports that Whoopi Goldberg has signed a contract extension with ABC.
According to the report, Goldberg is signing a four-year contract, keeping her with “The View” until the summer of 2025. When it comes to the financial details of the new deal, they’re unknown at the moment.
ABC declined to comment on the matter of Goldberg’s new contract. Nonetheless, Goldberg began her 15th season with the program, and her four-year deal takes her to the age of 69, so it will be interesting to see whether she plans to continue in the daytime circuit past the summer of 2025.
“The View” is in transition as they have a rotating guest are filling in for the departed McCain, and as the search to replace her continues, it seems ABC wants to have the rest of the panel signed to new deals for the foreseeable future.
