The spiritual successor to Highly Questionable is set to launch next week. Debatable, a new digital show for ESPN from executive producer Erik Rydholm and his team, debuts on Monday.
Many of the same rotating voices that appeared on HQ are set to be part of Debatable. The show was first announced when HQ‘s ending was announced.
The series will stream across multiple digital platforms including ESPN’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels and the ESPN App.
Rydholm has produced a number of hits for ESPN, including Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.
“Debatable will launch 20 years to the month after the premiere of ESPN’s marquee afternoon studio show Pardon the Interruption – a show that expanded what was possible for a sports studio show,” Mike Foss, ESPN vice president of digital production, said in a press release. “We’re excited to continue to try and push those boundaries further on Debatable with a daily, digital-exclusive approach reaching fans where they are and even more unique virtual production elements that will create engaging and fun conversations that resonate in new ways across platforms.”
