ABC News made an addition to their news team on Tuesday as they announced that Em Nguyen is coming aboard as the multi-platform reporter.
Nguyen comes to ABC News from Spectrum News, serving as a national correspondent out of Washington D.C.
She covered the 2020 election and vice president Kamala Harris’s presidential run and eventual vice presidential win before departing Spectrum News in October.
“Em also profiled Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff about his groundbreaking role, covered the impact of COVID-19 on Washington, and reported from El Salvador on immigration during the Trump administration,” Jonathan Greenberger, ABC News vice president and Washington bureau chief said.
“Em is a skilled reporter and storyteller who will be a fantastic addition to our talented Washington team. Please join me in welcoming her to the ABC News family.”
Along with responsibilities in the newsroom, Nguyen also serves as the vice president of digital media for the Asian American Journalists Association’s local chapter.
