Saturday Night Live aired a skit this weekend targeting podcaster Joe Rogan whose use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 has become a popular talking point for left-leaning pundits.
The show used actor Pete Davidson to play Rogan. Davidson was joined by the fully vaccinated Sesame Street character Big Bird.
“I used to host Fear Factor, and now doctors fear me,” Davidson said, referring to Rogan’s stint on the national television show. “Here’s some zinc, and ayahuasca, and horse medicine. I’m a human, and I took horse medicine. And speaking of things that are horse-like, today’s two sponsors are the letters S and D, as in, ‘I can S my own D.’”
During the skit, the crew took shots at Texas Sen Ted Cruz, who was played by Aidy Bryant, and Cecily Strong as Marjorie Taylor Green.
In the past, the show has used Brad Pitt, portraying National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci.
