Multimedia journalist Bill Bartholomew has been named APD/Executive Producer at News Talk 99.7 FM/AM 630 WPRO in Providence, Rhode Island. He made the announcement official on Twitter Wednesday.
Known as the “Voice of Southern New England,” the Cumulus Media-owned station features live and local programming from 5 AM – 6 PM. In addition, it carries New England Patriots football, Boston Bruins hockey, and Providence College Men’s basketball games.
“I’m excited to welcome Bill to the team,” said Program Director Doug MacGunnigle in a statement. “His experience in the digital realm, standing in the community, and political savvy will add greatly to the success of WPRO.”
Bartholomew also hosts a podcast called The Bartholomew Podcast. The podcast also presents issues and personalities that impact a national audience. In addition, he often interviews political figures on both the local and national levels.
“Joining the team at legendary platform WPRO on a daily basis is a tremendous opportunity for me, and one that I take extremely seriously,” Bartholomew said.
