“The Daily Show’s” Jordan Klepper is known for attending protests and rallies to get to the bottom of what the cause is, in a comedic matter.
In Ottawa, Canadian anti-vaxxers have been protesting Covid-19 vaccine mandates placed last month, pushing supply-chain troubles and shutting down roads. With the ongoing trucker protest in Canada’s capital city, Klepper traveled north of the border to speak with those involved.
“We don’t live in Germany. We don’t live in Nazi Germany. Those days are over,” one protester told Klepper. “Show me your papers don’t happen anymore. That’s a freedom that everyone should have.”
Klepper responded by questioning if “the Germany comparison” was a “stretch here in Canada,” provoking the protester to say, “No.”
During the feature, Klepper encountered many protesters in the convoy who also support former President Donald Trump and approached one sporting a QAnon hat.
“I see the ‘Q Army’ on your hat. Is Q the American thing trying to find JFK Jr.?” Klepper asked. “Exactly… exactly,” the man replied. Klepper spoke to another protester at the convoy who said, “It’s more than just the vaccine passport and stuff.”
“The Agenda 2030 is a good start… It’s where the world’s headed toward one government. They want to sterilize us that only certain people can have kids.”
