Erica Farber plans to remain the leader of the Radio Advertising Bureau through April 2024. Farber will agree to a new contract extension after her current deal was supposed to expire next year.
The Radio Hall of Famer joined the RAB in January 2012, coming in to serve as the Executive VP, responsible for membership, services, and professional development.
However, three months later, she advanced to President and CEO, succeeding Jeff Haley, who departed to become Marketron’s chief executive.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the accomplishments and progress RAB has made over the last two years,” RAB board chair and Neuhoff Media COO Mike Hulvey, said in a statement provided by Inside Radio.
“The executive committee wanted to be sure to position the trade association for strategic growth by engaging the entire board of directors in leading the path forward. We’re equally delighted Farber will be leading the charge and guiding the development and execution of the strategy set forth by the committees and board of directors.”
RAB’s decision to extend Farber is one of several developments that came out of their spring Board of Directors Meeting held March 2-3 in Orlando.
