Fox News Shares Details of How Benjamin Hall Left Ukraine

Fox News is sharing new details on the extraction efforts to get injured journalist Benjamin Hall removed from Ukraine following an attack on a vehicle he was occupying last week.

Hall is reportedly receiving treatment for his injuries at a hospital in Germany.

On Monday, Sarah Verardo, co-founder, Save our Allies, joined Dana Perino in “America’s Newsroom” to discuss how the organization worked to get Hall out of the country

“This is a very complex situation, but we have people on our team that are willing to go into harm’s way to protect those from evil, and especially when we got that call for help from Fox, we could not move quickly enough to mobilize a multi-national effort to secure Ben’s extraction from a very dangerous combat zone,” said Verardo.

Verado shared that the operation to save Hall from a combat zone would typically take months to plan. “And our team, led by a gentleman that we will call Seaspray is a special operations and intelligence veteran that is very experienced in precision extraction in hostile environments.”

She said the extraction team consisted of trauma surgeons, experienced in military battlefield trauma, as well as a team of special operations veterans and intelligence community veterans.

Verado said the organization has a long relationship with the network. She said Fox News has been supportive to so many different causes important to them.

“Save Our Allies we’re very focused on continuing to deploy special operations, medical veterans to help us with these field hospitals that we’re setting up and our mobile medical mission and the continued extraction of very at-risk individuals, disabled individuals, orphans, children, American citizens, we’re doing that not only in Afghanistan but also now, of course, in Ukraine, which we saw in Ben’s case,” added Verado.
