Fox News said correspondent Benjamin Hall has undergone multiple surgeries following a vicious attack that killed two of his colleagues in Ukraine last week. An internal memo from Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott addressed the outpouring of care and concern for Hall.
“Yesterday, Ben was transferred from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) located at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas,” said Scott.
Fox News camera operator Pierre Zakrzewski and local Ukrainian producer Oleksandra Kuvshynova were both killed in the attack that injured Hall.
Earlier this week, Sarah Verardo, co-founder of Save our Allies, called the effort to extract Hall from a combat zone “a very complex situation.”
Scott said the company is in “very close contact with Ben and his family.”
“He (Hall) remains in good spirits despite everything he has endured. His strength and resiliency in the face of crisis has been nothing short of extraordinary.”
According to its website, BAMC is a Level 1 trauma center that cares for more than 4,000 military and civilian trauma patients and 80,000 emergency department visits a year.
“Please continue to keep him (Hall) in your prayers, and we will provide further updates as needed,” added Scott.
