Jen Psaki on MSNBC Discussions: I Have Nothing to Announce

It’s been over a week since White House press secretary Jen Psaki made remarks to Fox News and correspondent Peter Doocy. She has since provided a statement regarding her appearance on Crooked Media’s “Pod Save America.”

Nonetheless, during her appearance on CNN+’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?,” host Chris Wallace pressed Psaki on this issue and her possible departure to MSNBC when she leaves the White House next month.

Psaki stated to Wallace that she has nothing to announce and doesn’t know what will happen next when her time as press secretary comes to an end.

“I have nothing to announce about what’s next. I’m going to sleep at some point when I leave. I’m going to maybe read some fiction books. I’m going to spend time with my family,” Psaki said.

Psaki did, however, tell Wallace that thinking about future employment is normal and something that everyone at the White House thinks about at some point.

“What I will tell you, Chris, and you know this from covering White Houses in the past, there are certain requirements of anybody who’s serving. If you are talking to or engaging, thinking about any future employment, which is normal,” Psaki said.

“That’s a – what nearly everybody does who at some point will leave the White House. I have gone over and above those requirements. I’ve received full counseling from the counsel’s office, and I will continue to do that throughout my time here at the White House.”
