Report: Chris Wallace Will Have His Show Moved to CNN

Warner Bros. Discovery decided on Thursday to pull the plug on CNN+ less than a month into its launch. The streaming platform will cease operations on April 30th, and the next question is what comes of the talent that came over to the network.

Anchor Chris Wallace left Fox News late last year for CNN+, but despite the platform now shutting down, Bloomberg’s Gerry Smith reports Wallace will “likely” take his CNN+ interview show “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” to the CNN cable channel.

The cable news channel’s 9 p.m. weekday timeslot remains vacant, so that’s a possible landing spot for the former Fox News host. Smith also reports that all of the CNN+ programs, a mix of lifestyle and news, are transitioning over to the CNN cable channel or CNN.com.

CNN’s new leadership is still attempting to determine the best platform for each CNN+ program, considering that new president Chris Licht has yet to officially take over the position.

In addition to Wallace, the streaming service’s other high-profile on-air talent hires will likely remain with the company. CNN+ host Kasie Hunt posted a tweet saying that she would be okay following the decision to shut down the platform.

However, she adds that the news isn’t about her now, hinting that others might not be as lucky as the host to keep their job. “Some of you are asking about me. I am proud to be on team CNN. I will be fine. It’s not about me right now.”
