On Wednesday, The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) had its 47th Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
Hannah Storm, the anchor of ESPN SportsCenter, served as host with the awards being given to honorees in recognition of personal accomplishment and outstanding programming by, for, and about women in local and student television, radio, and digital media.
Kate Snow, NBC Nightly News Sunday, Anchor and NBC News Senior National Correspondent, and 2022 Gracies Award recipient for Outstanding News Feature Series, was one of the presenters at the luncheon.
Snow referenced that not everyone comprehends how real journalism occurs. What counts is doing your research, understanding the story, and is inclined to do the job, which is what the people in this room do daily.
Meanwhile, Larry O’Connor, Host, O’Connor & Company on WMAL, was another presenter and said in a press release obtained by Barrett News Media, “I can’t imagine not working with a team led by women.”
Finally, Linsey Davis, ABC News Live Prime Anchor, Weekend “World News Tonight” Anchor, and ABC News Correspondent, was another presenter who spoke on the benefits of being a mentor.
“Over the process of me being a mentor, she has helped me.” She said before giving an award to one of her mentees.
