Joe Madison, SiriusXM Agree to Multi-Year Deal

Veteran radio host Joe Madison isn’t leaving the SiriusXM airwaves as he and the company have agreed to a multi-year extension, the station announced in a press release obtained by Barrett News Media.

“Joe Madison The Black Eagle” will continue to be heard weekly from 6-10 am ET on Urban View channel 126 and the Sirius XM app. In addition, under the new agreement, Madison will continue to discuss the news of the day from his Washington, DC, studio.

“Joe’s legacy of work speaks for itself,” SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said in the announcement.

“Joe is a leader and a motivator who inspires his audience to raise their voices and get involved. I’m thrilled that Urban View listeners will continue to start their day with Joe for many more years.”

Last year, Madison made headlines after going on a hunger strike that lasted 74 days in his attempts to bring awareness to voting rights legislation. It ended last November when Senate Democrats failed to pass a bill to strengthen voting rights laws.
