The controversial LIV Tour continues to work on building their golf product and from a production standpoint, they are swinging for the fences by contacting a major media personality.
Charles Barkley, an Alabama native, was back near his home in Birmingham when he joined The Next Round for some conversation.
Show co-host, and BSM columnist, Ryan Brown asked Barkley about a rumor he had heard about the NBA ON TNT star’s potential future involvement with the LIV Tour.
Brown asked, “There’s this rumor that I’ve heard from a couple of people in the golf world, that the LIV Tour is coming after you as a face of their media, an analyst. Is there any truth to that or is this just rumor?”
Barkley responded with a measured tone, “I’m gonna meet with LIV. Truth.”
He would go on to say that the LIV Tour reached out to him to gauge his interest.
“They called me and asked me if I would meet with them and I said yes”.
The NBA Hall of Famer cautioned that he was far from being a signed piece of the LIV Tour.
“Nothing is imminent,” Barkley said. “I actually don’t know everything they want from me or what they technically want me to do. But you got to always look at every opportunity that’s available. So the answer to your question is 100% yes I’m going to meet with LIV.”
