The View Will Announce Permanent Co-Host on Thursday

It’s been nearly a year since ABC’s “The View” saw co-host Meghan McCain depart and since then, it’s been a list of rotating guests filling her seat, but now that’s all about to change.

On Monday, the program announced they would reveal the permanent co-host to fill McCain’s during Thursday’s broadcast. The news of the show naming a permanent member to their panel comes off rumors that Donald Trump’s former White House communications director is taking over the role.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Alyssa Farah Griffin would be the permanent co-host on the show beginning in September.

“My jaw dropped when I was told that she was the pick. It makes no sense,” one insider said. “Part of me wishes they just leaned into MAGA and hired Kimberly Guilfoyle; at least it would better reflect part of the audience, and there would be fireworks every day.”

However, the reported decision to go with Griffin isn’t one that some are happy about, as guest co-host Ana Navarro is one of the people who aren’t thrilled about the network’s decision.

“Her soon to be co-hosts are very upset. They feel she isn’t authentic and changes her opinions based on who her paymaster is,” another insider said. “Ana Navarro especially feels let down as they are hiring someone who was an essential part of the movement that destabilized this country.”
