“The View” is keeping one of the co-hosts for the foreseeable future. Variety reported Wednesday that Sunny Hostin signed a multi-year contract to remain with the daytime talk show.
Hostin currently co-hosts the program with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sara Haines on the panel, with all four returning for the show’s 26th season. Hostin will remain with “The View” through the 28th season with her new deal.
A co-host since 2016, Hostin’s new contract will allow her to continue to appear in special projects for ABC, such as “Soul of a Nation,” and deliver analysis on programs like “20/20,” “Good Morning America,” and “Nightline.”
The new contract for Hostin comes on the heels of “The View,” announcing the permanent co-host to replace the chair that has been empty since the departure of Meghan McCain last year.
Insiders would suggest that ABC will appoint former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin as a co-host next season, beginning in September.
Variety added that the network declined to comment on their report regarding Hostin’s new contract.
