Greg Gutfeld: Mainstream Media Helps Create Copycat Shooters

Fox News late-night host Greg Gutfeld accused the mainstream media of creating conflict to drive ratings and keep viewers hooked.

In a scathing monologue Wednesday, Gutfeld said media outlets take tragedies like mass shootings and drag them out for weeks,, which creates copycat shootings.

“They can take a very confusing veteran’s bill and turn it into a fight between people who love veterans and people who want them to die,” Gutfeld said via Fox News Digital.

Gutfeld cited a survey from the University of Pennsylvania that revealed that cable news is more polarizing now than in the last ten years.

“So, this polarization in the media, the researchers claim that it really exploded after: A) the election of Donald Trump, B) the election of Donald Trump, C) all of the above, D) eggs? Apparently, you know the answer.”

“Now, let’s be clear, when they say networks split from one another after the election, that’s B.S. We were far from being on the same page; prior to Trump, they always presented a uniformly left-wing opinion, no matter what we did,” added Gutfeld.
