Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former late-night host Jon Stewart find themselves in a war of words. On Thursday’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host took jabs at the comedian.
Stewart made his rounds on news media outlets to discuss the PACT Act, which Republicans held up in the Senate at the time. The bill is something the comedian is emotional about, as the comedian attempts to help veterans affected by burn pits while in service.
Nonetheless, Carlson took shots at Stewart for his height, saying what had happened to the former late-night host all these years.
“That’s Jon Stewart?” Carlson asked. “The famous Jon Stewart looks like a homeless mental patient. He’s shrieking and disheveled, and very short. Really short. Too short to date. Was he always that short? What happened? Where’s he been the last seven years?”
It didn’t take long for the former “Daily Show” host to respond as he took to Twitter to respond to the remarks made by Carlson in a joking tone.
“Friends. Tonite I am sad,” Stewart tweeted. “@TuckerCarlson believes me too short to date…and yet somehow, miraculously, I remain tall enough to not know what Victor Orban’s a– tastes like! Is it goulash Tucky? Seems like it would be goulash.”
The rift between the two news media members dates back to 2004 when the comedian appeared on CNN’s Crossfire and poked fun at Carlson for wearing a bow tie during the tense exchange.
