CNN boss Chirs Licht continues to mold the network into his vision as the cable news channel will be adding a new face to the contributors with Axios’ Sara Fischer joining the lineup.
Fischer will be CNN’s on-air contributor on the media beat, but this new gig isn’t going to be affecting her job at Axios as she’ll remain with the media outlet.
“I’m joining CNN as an on-air contributor on the media beat,” Fischer said in her Axios media newsletter. “I will remain a full-time reporter for Axios and the author of this weekly newsletter. I will continue to cover CNN and its parent Warner Bros. Discovery.”
This isn’t the first time Fischer has worked with CNN as she was with the cable news channel working in the Washington, DC bureau from 2013-2014.
“As Axios’ media reporter for the last six years, Fischer brings a deep understanding of the business behind the media industry and all that entails,” CNN’s press release statement said.
“She has a long track record of breaking significant industry stories at the intersection of media, business and technology and is a leading voice in the field.”
