There was strong pushback from comments FOX NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw made during FOX NFL Sunday, and Jermaine Wiggins of The Greg Hill Show on WEEI couldn’t believe the reaction.

Bradshaw said Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray “would commit suicide or something” if the team ran the football five or six plays in a row. Immediately, the rest of the panel said Bradshaw’s comments were out of line, with Howie Long saying they were “a little dark for this audience”.

“They’re calling for him to be fired?,” a flabbergasted Hill asked.

“He didn’t say like he should go kill himself,” Courtney Cox added.

“If you’re listening to that, you understand the context of what Terry Bradshaw is saying,” Jermaine Wiggins said. “Or the same thing with Mike Milbury. Stephen A. Smith said it before. Once these people — and that’s the culture we live in — once they start this, they get all sensitive. They instantly want people to have their livelihood taken away.

“It’s no different than what ESPN did with Jalen Rose,” Wiggins continued. “He gives his opinion about the Ime (Udoka) stuff and says ‘Well, maybe she should be identified’, and then as soon as they come back from commercial break it’s like the poor guy is being held hostage by Al-Qaeda and he’s like ‘I just wanna take these few minutes out to apologize for the statements that I just made.'”

“It’s a phrase people have used for a long, long time,” Hill argued. “Wiggy’s right.”
