Will Cain: No ‘Smoking Gun’ In Twitter Files

During Sunday’s edition of Fox & Friends, host Will Cain admitted that the recent “Twitter Files” released that accused the Biden Administration of working in conjunction with the social media platform to suppress negative stories lacks a real “smoking gun”.

During an interview with the owner of the Delaware computer store that turned over Hunter Biden’s laptop — John Paul Mac Isaac — Cain asked if the owner believed there was any documentation that shows there was any sort of government conspiracy to limit stories.

“As much as we’ve seen from what Elon released about the coordination between the government and Twitter, there isn’t necessarily a smoking gun to your case,” Cain said. “In other words, we don’t have the government official saying ‘Spike that’. Do you think that probably exists? Do you expect that somewhere and is yet to be seen? We see a Twitter that is ready and willing to do what the government wants…But we haven’t yet seen who made the call and who put it in their mind?”

Isaac responded by saying he believed “the FBI is smart enough not to create a paper trail when it comes to affecting the course of an election.”

Matt Taibbi tweet a thread of more than 36 tweets documenting alleged collusion between the Biden campaign and administration with Twitter officials to ensure stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop were not as prevalent on the social media platform. New Twitter owner Elon Musk has insinuated the actions equate to election interference, and gave the documents to Taibbi with the idea that their release would help Twitter’s reputation on transparency.
